I spent some quality time with my split ends and my cuticles this weekend. Both my hair and nails were in desperate need of some special attention. I ruined my manicure shortly after finishing so there’s no nail picture to share.
This Tresemme Split remedy product works wonders. I need a trim but didn’t make it to the salon this week. I almost opted for the Nexus version of this product but for triple the cost…I left it on the shelf at Target. I’m so happy with my choice.
OPI: My Very First Knockwurst
I’m starting to think that I woke up with an extra sprinkle of “girly girl” this morning. Ever have one of those days where you’re just feeling extra, ultra feminine? Raising both of my hands because that’s how I’m feeling. It could be the pearls, or my hair pulled back from my face. But, I think it has a lot to do with my polish.
This OPI masterpiece is a simple but beautiful shade. It’s creamy, smooth and barely there with a kiss of mauve. Ooooohhhh yea, “My Very First Knockwurst” is a winner.
Remember my question, “To Press or not to Press“? Well, I answered with a YouTube video. Check out how I applied the Impress Manicure nails and if I gave it a thumbs or or down.
I just found out I snagged a Chic Street Level convertible clutch, a perk of being a StyleWatch Style Hunter! I’m already trying to pick what shade of nail polish to pair with it once it arrives. I’m thinking teal or aqua. Stay Tuned!
I’ve wanted a facial cleansing & exfoliation brush set from a similar brand, Clarisonic, for quite some time. I’m an admitted beauty junkie with limits. The Clarisonic price was more than I wanted to pay so I’ve been waiting patiently for a more affordable alternative. Today I was overjoyed to see this deal on Living Social for ProSonic. I ordered the pink one and I’m already planning a facial party with a few friends. I’m ready for a ProSonic facial now!
Holy Holly Holograph is how I’m describing my latest nail polish haul. I purchased 6 fabulous holographic nail polishes from Yamidoesnails right before Christmas. It was my holiday treat to myself.
ColorClub makes awesome halographic nail polishes. Hope you have a chance to try a couple of them so you can share in the Holly Holly Halo joy. I’m wearing “Blue Heaven”
Happy New Year! I’m so thankful to celebrate another year. Wishing you all the best that life has to offer. Thank you for following my blog and sharing my beauty passion.
To say I LOVE being a People StyleWatch Style Hunter is truly an understatement. I ALMOST purchased Sally Hansen’s gel nail polish strips last week. I chatted with a co-worker friend about what we thought the pros and cons might be and I decided to go for it. The mini kit made it to the inside of my shopping cart on my next shopping trip but after walking around the store for a while I hesitated to make the purchase. I told myself I’d do a little more research…Salon Insta Gel Strips seem perfect for worry free holiday hands.
And now, I’m getting my chance to try them and I have a feeling I’m going to be hooked. I’m already a fan of the nail polish strips and feel like the quality for the gel strips is going to be stellar. Stay tuned for an update. In the meantime, check out this video about how it works.
Hi Everyone,
Here’s a quick tutorial on a fun and easy way to store your makeup brushes. I was inspired by a Pinterest photo from Blogger Liz Marie
You can get most of the items from your local arts & crafts store if you don’t already have them around your home.
For this project, we’ll need:
· Storage jar (recycled food jars from the kitchen)
· Decorative fill (Rocks, marble and sand are popular choices)
· Ribbon (Get creative with string, rope, belts, bands or even leather cording)
· Embellishments (Flowers or re-purposed objects from greeting cards work great)
· Makeup brushes · Scissors · Hot Glue Gun (or whatever adhesive is strong enough to hold the materials you use)
